New Line gets a Genbot
New Line Cinemas has signed Angela Robinson (Herbie: Fully Loaded) to co-write and direct the action comedy Genbot. She pitched the idea with her co-writer, Alex Kondracke. The story concerns a young woman who becomes involved in a secret government operation that has her turned into a cyborg. Although Robinson has a first-look deal with Disney, she ended up at New Line due to the new project's darker subject matter.
