DreamWorks brings back spy Matt Helm
DreamWorks has signed Derek Haas to write a screenplay to forward their plans to revive the spy Matt Helm. Helm is the subject of more than 20 potboiler novels by Donald Hamilton. A spy during WWII, Helm retires from his top-secret organization and tries to put his past behind him, with little success. In the past, Columbia Pictures released some Matt Helm-inspired spoofs starring Dean Martin, including the 1966 pic The Silencers.
