Stockard Channing is set to make her directorial debut on The Joy of Funerals, a movie that will be based on the short story collection by Alix Strauss, who will also write the screenplay. The movie centers on a 30-something woman who is searching for love in all the wrong places. To that end, she crashes the funerals of total strangers (sounds like the Chaz character in Wedding Crashers, no?).
