Opera director has Pork Pie
Francesca Zambello, a popular opera director, has signed to direct her first feature film, The Legend of Pork Pie. The movie is a musical fantasy and was written by Michael Genet. The story centers on a young man who is searching for his father. Ultimately, he winds up at the legendary jazz club - the Pork Pie Hat Bar. The budget for the film is $25 million. Zambella is currently directing Porgy and Bess for the Washington National Opera.
