Fox gets Flowers for The Trespasser
Twentieth Century Fox has hired Frank E. Flowers (Haven) to write and direct an English-language remake of the Brazilian thriller The Trespasser. The original film was based on a novel by Marcal Aquino and was directed by Beto Brant. It won the Latin American Cinema Award at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival, and centers on two businessmen who hire an assassin to kill their third partner. However, that wetworks specialist begins to blackmail them, causing them to slowly lose control of their prized company. For the remake, Flowers will set the film in Miami's South Beach area.
