Lions Gate tosses a Magic Pebble
Lions Gate Family Entertainment will create an animated adaptation of the 1969 kids book Sylvester and the Magic Pebble. The movie will be titled simply Sylvester, and centers on a donkey who finds a wish-granting pebble. However, he accidentally turns himself into a rock and becomes separated from his family until they can find him again. The book was written by the late William Steig, who also wrote Shrek.
