God of War heads to big screen
Universal has picked up movie rights to the super violent video game God of War. The game is set in ancient Greece and centers on a warrior named Kratos. He fights his way through mythological beasts such as Medusa, Cyclops and the Hydra on his search for Pandora's Box. Ultimately, his quest is to destroy Ares, the god of war. No director or screenwriter is attached at this point.
