Voltron heads to big screen
Veteran producer Mark Gordon has teamed up with Pharrell Williams, World Events Prods, Mark Costa and Ford Oelman to create a feature version of the 1980s giant robot Voltron. Voltron was an animated television series and also a toy line that came out almost simultaneously to the Transformers, and was thus part of the morphing robot trend. The story will center on five explorer robots who have to go to Arus to learn how to operate a giant mechanical warrior known as Voltron.
