Sony purchases Scorpion
Sony Pictures is in talks to get film rights for counter-terrorism expert Richard Clarke's first novel The Scorpion Gate. The book will be published in October, and is set five years in the future with oil-hungry forces in Washington looking to shape the Middle East for their own ends. Their plan is to launch a global nuclear war to achieve their goals. The plot includes a takeover of the House of Saud by extremists.
