Laika gets animated again
The indie animation studio Laika Entertainment, which changed its name last week from Vinton Studios, has decided on its second feature (the first is Coraline, an adaptation of the Neil Gaiman novel, to be directed by Henry Selick). The new project is Jack and Ben's Animated Adventure, which is being written and directed by Jorgen Klubien, a Pixar/Disney veteran who joined the upstart studio earlier this year. The project will be completely computer animated. Klubien worked previously on films such as Cars, The Lion King and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
