Schwartz is Looking for Alaska
Paramount has acquired the film rights to Looking for Alaska, a novel by John Green about love and loss experienced by a group of teenagers at an Alabama boarding school. Specifically, there's a young, reckless girl named Alaska Young who also happens to be the object of affection for most of the young men who attend the school. Josh Schwartz, who created The O.C., will both write and direct the comedy/drama. It will be Schwartz's first feature film project.
