Termite story headed to big screen
Fred Kuehnert Prods. has acquired the rights to the Suzy Peppers book Termite, the story of Maurice "Termite" Watkins. The company also has rights to Watkins' life story. He is a former boxer who volunteered to go work as an exterminator for the U.S. military in Iraq. Once there, he was recruited to coach Iraqi boxer Najah Ali for the 2004 Summer Olympics, which took place in Athens. Jerry Griffin, a decorated military veteran, is writing the screenplay.
