Cast Spins alongside Parker
A number of cast members have signed on to join Sarah Jessica Parker in the Mark Brokaw-directed Spinning Into Butter. Beau Bridges, Miranda Richardson, Mykelti Williamson, James Rebhorn, Peter Friedman, Victor Rasuk and Paul James will all have roles in the film. The movie is based on Rebecca Gilman's play, which she adapted.

Parker is like Butter
Sarah Jessica Parker is set to star in the indie production of the theatrical adaptation of the Rebecca Gilman play Spinning Into Butter. Stage director Mark Brokaw will be making his theatrical debut, and Gilman will adapt her own work into screenplay form. The movie will have Parker playing the dean of students at a New England college who finds herself in the middle of an investigation into a racial hate crime. She must face her own feelings about race even as she has to maintain her administration's desire to remain politically correct.
