Paramount goes for Malefique
Paramount Pictures has purchased a pitch from John Pogue for a remake of the French horror movie Malefique. The story centers on an eclectic group of four inmates who are all together in one prison cell. They find a book of occult spells and attempt to use its magic to escape, but the spells are wonky and things don't go quite as planned.
