Schnabel to helm Lonely Doll
Julian Schnabel is set to direct The Lonely Doll, a biopic about the eccentric children's author Dare Wright. He'll develop it along with Killer Films and Number 9 Films. The movie will center on the unusually close relationship between Wright, who wrote a series of books known as The Lonely Doll books, and her mother. Some of the book will likely be based on The Secret Life of the Lonely Doll: The Search for Dare Wright. Carl Lund will write the screenplay.
