Phifer to make directorial debut
Mekhi Phifer will make his directorial debut with the indie comedy Easier, Softer Way. Sony has acquired distribution rights to the movie. The story will center on two unlucky potheads who put together a scheme to rip off a shadowy character known as Mr. Big when they sour on rehab. Phifer will star in the film along with Maura Tierney, Scott Grimes, John C. McGinley, Ronnie Warner, Terry Crews and Mo Collins. Warner also wrote the screenplay.
