WB Hires Writer for Shoeshine Boy

Warner Bros. Pictures has hired Charles Leavitt (Blood Diamond) to write the adaptation of Confessions of a Wall Street Shoeshine Boy, an as-yet-unpublished book from Vanity Fair editor Doug Stumpf. The story is about a Brazilian shoeshine man who works at a leading New York financial institution. A reporter uses the man to uncover corporate crimes taking place there.

Warner Bros. goes to Wall Street

Warner Bros. has picked up rights to the upcoming Doug Stumpf book Confessions of a Wall Street Shoeshine Boy. The book will look at the lives of various Wall Street big shots as seen through the eyes of a Brazilian man who shines shoes at a New York financial institution.
