WB sees baseball is in Season
Warner Bros. has acquired the pitch Stolen Season, and Johnny Knoxville is interested in toplining the film. John Raffo will write the screenplay for the baseball-themed film, which is based on the real-life childhood of former Baltimore Orioles catcher Rick Dempsey. When he was 13-years-old and playing in Pony League, he fell under the spell of his coach, John Jennings. Jennings used the team's travels as a front while he was robbing banks in California.
