Faison is Homie
Donald Faison is set to star in the indie comedy Homie Spumoni. Co-written and directed by Mike Cerrone, the movie centers on Renato (Faison), a black man who has been raised as an Italian-American goombah, but completely unaware that he is black. When his birth parents arrive on the scene, he disdains his adoptive family and his Jewish American girlfriend and goes to live at the home of his blood relatives. When there, he must come to terms with living in his own skin. Cerrone co-wrote the script with Glenn Ciano and Steve Cerrone. Along with Faison, other stars in the film include Jamie-Lynn DiScala, Joey Fatone and Whoopi Goldberg.
