New Line looking to We3
New Line Cinemas is in negotiations for the rights to the graphic novel mini-series We3, which is based on an extremely unusual and unlikely heroic trio - a dog, a cat and a bunny. The three household pets are stolen by the government and turned into armor-wearing killers in a secret military program. The trio discovers it is being "decommissioned", so they escape and try to find their way home. The government, of course, is hot on their trail. The book was written by Grant Morrison and is described as Homeward Bound meets Terminator. Morrison is currently in talks to pen the screenplay as well.
