Gold on Eagle Street
Alfonso Arau will direct Gold on Eagle Street, an indie project to be set in East L.A. Alejandro Fernandez will star in the story of a man who works as a garbage truck driver who has a hobby as a wrought-iron artist. When he finds a secreted stash of coins, he turns them in for scrap metal for his art, not realizing they are extremely valuable. He unwittingly crafts a sculpture for his sister's grave from the coins, and in the process finds some renown as an artist. The screenplay was written by Robert Dorff.
