Director leaves rap project
Lexi Alexander has quit as director of Life 'n' Lyrics just days before it was supposed to begin shooting. Those involved in the production of the film are keeping mum about the reasons for her departure, though insiders say that Alexander didn't feel she had enough time to work on pre-production. The movie, which would have starred Ashley Walters, is now on hiatus while the producers look for a replacement.

Alexander goes for Life 'n' Lyrics
Lexi Alexander is set to direct Life 'n' Lyrics for the newly formed Fiesta Prods. The movie will star Ashley Walters and is described as 8 Mile meets Romeo and Juliet. The romance is set against the backdrop of London's urban music scene. The story centers on DJ Danny and his crew as they battle their North London rivals onstage. Danny falls for a singer from the enemy, and comes to realize that their relationship has to be taboo.
