Newcomer Peter Cornwell is set to direct The Dionaea House for Warner Bros. Written by Eric Heisserer, the story centers on a married man who has become distant from his old friends. When one of them commits suicide, they join up to investigate, soon discovering an evil that manifests itself through tract housing.

WB buys House
Warner Bros. has purchased the spec script The Dionaea House from writer Eric Heisserer. The story centers on a married man who has grown apart from his friends. When one of the old group commits a double murder-suicide, the friends come back together to investigate, finding that an evil force that manifests itself through tract housing is responsible. There is already a Web site, www.dionaea-house.com, that has been created to build the mythology of the story. It's received millions of hits.
