Paramount gets some Chuckle Bears
Peter Hewitt (Garfield: The Movie) is set to direct the space alien fantasy Chuckle Bears for Paramount Pictures and Nickleodeon Movies. He co-wrote the screenplay with Phil Hughes, with a story that centers on aliens from another planet who assume the form of brightly colored teddy bears and head to earth to eliminate sadness from the human race. It can't all be that simple, of course. An evil toy company exec creates a brand of toys that look exactly like them.
