Universal gets an Outcast
Universal Pictures has acquired the rights to the children's fantasy book series Outcast. Written by Christopher Golden and Thomas Sniegoski, the books are set in a young adult world of magic (like Harry Potter and Shadowmancer). They take place in a land called Arcanum, where everyone has some sort of magical power execpt for one boy named Timmy. The first books in the series are titled The Un-Magician, Dragon Secrets and Ghostfire. Charlie Mitchell has been set to write the script.
