Trio Finds Helen Hunt
Colin Firth, Matthew Broderick and Bette Midler will star alongside Helen Hunt in Hunt's directing debut Then She Found Me. The story is about a schoolteacher (Hunt) who is found by her birth mother (Midler) during a rough spot in her life. Broderick will play Hunt's husband, and Firth a man she meets through a student. Hunt has been working for eight years to get the picture off the ground. Diane Keaton and Woody Harrelson were previously attached to star.

Helen Hunt to sit in director's chair
Helen Hunt is set to make her feature film directorial debut with Then She Found Me, which she also adapted from the Elinor Lipman novel. Currently, Diane Keaton and Woody Harrelson are in talks to star alongside Hunt. In the movie, Hunt will portray a Philadelphia schoolteacher who finds herself hitting a midlife crisis. Her husband leaves her, her adoptive mother dies, and then suddenly her real mother shows up, throwing her life into further turmoil when she starts to date a father of one of her students.
