Warner Bros. gets Hornby's next
Warner Bros. has optioned the rights to the upcoming Nick Hornby novel, A Long Way Down. Past Hornby book-to-movie adaptations have included Fever Pitch (two different versions), High Fidelity and About a Boy. Johnny Depp will be a producer on the project along with Graham King and David Heyman. The book was published on Monday in Great Britain and will hit U.S. bookstores in June. It centers on four people who meet at a New Year's Eve party and form a sort of surrogate family to help each other through the difficult holiday period.
