Universal gets some Ink
Universal Pictures and Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment are set to turn the life of a hip-hop tattoo artist known as Mr. Ink into a feature film. Estevan Oriol, who directed a documentary about the artist's life, will helm. Mr. Ink got his start in East L.A. as a graffiti artist. Eventually, he was able to work as an illustrator for both Hustler magazine and as a designer of low-rider cars. Ultimately, he used his artistic talents for tattooing, working on the bodies of such notables as Eminem, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Red Man and Xzibit.
