Arrested Development folks join for Reunion comedy
Although the fate of the critically acclaimed Fox comedy Arrested Development is uncertain, that won't stop the people behind the show from carrying on. Universal is set to produce an as yet untitled class reunion comedy with Brian Grazer and Imagine Entertainment onboard as producers. Also attached are Joe and Anthony Russo, who will both direct and produce, Chuck Martin, who will write and Will Arnett as the star. Grazer is currently producer of Arrested Development. The Russos directed the pilot; Martin is a writer for the show; and Arnett stars as Gob Bluth.
The movie will be about a guy who attends his 20th high school reunion and while there, tells his dream girl a ton of lies about how successful and wealthy he is. When she arrives in New York to visit him, he has to go to great lengths to maintain the ruse.
