Maguire goes to Tokyo
Sony Pictures has acquired the Isaac Adamson novel Tokyo Punch to adapt into a motion picture, with Tobey Maguire set to topline and Ed Solomon on board to write the screenplay. The book centers on a character known as Billy Chaka, an American who writes a book with himself as his own hero, living in a wild, frenetic Tokyo. When his book is turned into a movie, Chaka flies to Tokyo for the premiere and hates it so much he gets into a loud shouting match with the director. Soon that director is found murdered, Billy is a suspect, and the fun begins.
