New Line goes Demon hunting
New Line Cinemas has picked up the comedy script Jeff the Demon from writers Tom Scharpling and Joe Ventura. The story will center on two high school losers who discover that they can summon a powerful demon named Jeff by means of a magical book. The demon changes things so that they win all their battles and all their wrongs are turned right; however, having things go so perfectly isn't all it's cracked up to be.
