Warner Bros. counts Ten Bears
Warner Bros. Pictures has purchased the rights to the non-fiction book Ten Bears, setting Josh Shelov to write the screenplay. The book, which was written by Chip Silverman and Miles Harrison, Jr., is set in the early 1970s in a racially turbulent Baltimore. The first ever all-black lacrosse team played there, and one of the team members included Harrison. The team was comprised of off-season football players from Morgan State, with their coach being Silverman, who was a Jewish administrator at their school. Although the team was terrible in the beginning, they went on to eventually find great success.
