Anderson onboard for a Deathrace
Paul W.S. Anderson (Alien vs. Predator) has signed on to direct Deathrace 3000 for Paramount Pictures. The movie is an update of the Roger Corman film Deathrace 2000, a campy B-movie classic that pitted Sylvester Stallone and David Carradine in a race that awarded them points for running over pedestrians. Anderson's vision for the update will combine the original ideas with a Road Warrior-esque tone. His plan is to have the actual race be just as ultraviolent as the preceding pedestrian killings.
