Fox gets The Cry of the Icemark
Fox 2000 has picked up rights to Stuart Hill's fantasy bestseller The Cry of the Icemark, which sold 25,000 hardback copies since its publication in the UK. Scholastic will release the book in the U.S. in April. The movie will be set in a mythical, Nordic prehistory, and centers on a teenage queen who must fight to save her homeland from a powerful army. Along with her best friend, a witch's son, she'll bring together an alliance of werewolves, vampires and talking snow leopards to thwart the invaders.
