Haggis has Death and Dishonor
Paul Haggis, who wrote the screenplay for recent Academy Award winner Million Dollar Baby, will write, direct and co-produce Death and Dishonor for Warner Bros. The movie will be based on an investigative article by Mark Boal that appeared in a summer 2004 issue of Playboy. The story is a gritty drama about a career officer's search for his soldier son. The boy had been reported AWOL after returning to the states from Baghdad, but had actually been murdered by several members of his platoon. Haggis will fictionalize the story.
