Warners sees Midnight for Charlie Bone
Warner Bros. has picked up screen rights to the bestselling fantasy novel Midnight for Charlie Bone by Welsh author Jenny Nimmo. It also has the option to adapt the four other books from the series. The stories center on a boy named Charlie who can look at photographs and hear conversations that were taking place at the time when the images were shot. Charlie Bone, a descendent of the magical Red King, uses his particular gift to try to unravel the mystery of a missing girl. As he does so, he contends with ghostly relatives and other various characters who do their best to impede him on his work. The screenplay will be written by Neil Alsip.
