A View From the Bridge goes to big screen
Arthur Miller's play A View From the Bridge will be adapted as a movie. Barry Levinson will direct from an adapted screenplay by Andrew Bovell. Anthony LaPaglia will reprise the role for which he won a Tony on Broadway, and Scarlett Johansson and Frances McDormand are also signed on. LaPaglia plays a longshoreman named Eddie, whose unnatural obsession with his niece causes his relationship with his wife to be strained. In the end, when the teenager falls for a cousin from Sicily, scandal erupts.
