The younger boy was a loner, and somehow eventually was stabbed twice and nearly killed by the older one.

Warner Bros. wonders if U Want Me to Kill Him
Warner Bros. has picked up the rights to Judy Bachrach's Vanity Fair article U Want Me to Kill Him? Bryan Singer will both develop the film and direct it. The ultimate consequence is that the younger boy was eventually charged as a co-conspirator in his own attempted murder.
