Ganz is The Great Farrell

Bruno Ganz (Downfall) is in final negotiations to star in the romantic comedy The Great Farrell, based on the novel Buried Alive by Victorian writer Arnold Bennett. Other actors in talks include Rupert Everett and Catherine O'Hara. The story would center on a talented but incredibly shy painter (Ganz) who takes on the identity of his valet (Everett) so that he might run away to a calmer, easier life in the countryside of England. While painting under the identity of the valet, he is accused of forging the works of The Great Garrell. The movie will be directed by Martin Waltz.
