Mona Lisa to get a remake
Larry Clark will direct Shame, a remake of Neil Jordan's 1986 film Mona Lisa. Rosario Dawson is at the top of Clark's wish list of potential stars. He co-wrote the new screenplay with David Reeves, maintaining the basic premise of the story, but setting it in New York and giving it a more contemporary feel. The original noir romance starred Bob Hoskins as a small-time loser who is a chauffeur to an upper-crust call girl.
