McDermott and Rai to star in The Mistress of Spices
Dylan McDermott and Aishwarya Rai (Bride and Prejudice) will star in The Mistress of Spices, an adaptation of the Chitra Divakaruni novel, for director Paul Mayeda Berges. The book tells the story of an Indian woman who runs a spice shop in San Francisco. Her products appear to have the power to cure problems for her customers; however, she finds her magic fading as she falls in love with an American.
