Writer Tapped for Edward Tulane
Jeff Stockwell (The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys) has been hired to adapt The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane for New Line. The children's book, a fable about a girl's narcissitic toy rabbit that gets lost on a family trip and goes on a wild adventure, scored some very positive reviews in the media recently.

New Line gets Edward Tulane
New Line Cinema has picked up the rights to the upcoming novel from children's author Kate DiCamillo, whose previous books were awarded the Newberry Honor (Because of Winn-Dixie) and the coveted Newberry Medal (The Tale of Despereaux). Her next book, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, is scheduled for publication in 2006 and will tell the story of an arrogant toy china rabbit who takes off on a series of adventures, where he comes to understand what love means.
