John Malkovich will replace Ralph Fiennes in the adaptation of J.M. Coetzee's prize-winning novel Disgrace. Malkovich can currently be seen in theaters in Art School Confidential.

Fiennes to star in Disgrace

Ralph Fiennes is set to play the lead in the adaptation of JM Coetzee's 1999 Booker Prize-winning novel Disgrace. Steve Jacobs will direct the politically-charged story, which will be filmed in South Africa. Fiennes will portray a twice-divorced Cape Town academic who retreats to his daughter's farm in response to the fallout from an affair with a student.
