Seann William Scott will star in and produce The Optimist for New Line Cinema. Based on a script by Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein (both of The Simpsons), the movie will center on a man who is born without the capability of feeling unhappy. He finds his perspective changing when he falls in love with a cynical reporter.
