Roth makes a Jump Shot
Tim Roth has joined the cast of Jumpshot, a gambling drama. He'll play Victor, the independent ensemble drama's villain. Mark Rydell is directing the film from a screenplay by Robert Tannen. The cast includes Danny DeVito, Kim Basinger, Nick Cannon, Forest Whitaker, Carla Gugino, Jay Mohr, Kelsey Grammer and Ray Liotta.

Basinger and DeVito make a Jumpshot
Kim Basinger and Danny DeVito will star in Jumpshot for director Mark Rydell. He'll helm from a screenplay by Robert Tannen. Along with Basinger and DeVito, other stars will be Nick Cannon, Jay Mohr, Forest Whitaker and Carla Gugino. Ray Liotta and Kelsey Grammer are in talks to join the cast.
The movie will center on three people whose lives intersect during a championship college basketball game. One is a player who shaves points to help his brother pay a bookie, a bookie who is trying to go straight, and a homemaker who bets her family's entire life savings on the game.
