Jim Henson Pictures adapts The Witch's Children
Jim Henson Pictures and Warner Bros. will adapt the 2001 children's book The Witch's Children, which was written by Ursula Jones and illustrated by Russell Ayto. The book started as a simple picture book about misadventures that take place when the magic of several witches-in-training goes awry. Producers from Henson Pictures picked up on a pitch from screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna (Laws of Attraction) that asks what would happen when a single-mother witch leaves her magical and morally suspect realm to raise her children in the safer, more family-friendly suburbs.
