Rhames takes on new role
Ving Rhames has set a deal to produce films along with Kip Konwiser. Their first film will be Animal, a gritty crime drama in which Rhames will star. The project will be directed by David Burke from a screenplay by David C. Johnson. Rhames will portray a violent felon named Animal who is released from prison on a technicality. Having realized that the life he has led up to this point is an exercise in futility, Animal tries to go straight in order to keep his son from following in his footsteps. Terrence Dashon Howard will play the son, while Chazz Palmintieri and Jim Brown co-star as other inmates. Other cast members include Wes Studi, Beverly Todd, Faizon Love and Paula Jai Parker.
