Mrs. Doubtfire returns
Eleven years after the first film was a box office hit, a sequel to the Robin Williams film Mrs. Doubtfire is in the works at Fox 2000. Williams is in early talks to reprise his role, with Bonnie Hunt in negotiations to write the screenplay. In the original film, Williams played an estranged father who posed as a Scottish nanny, Euphegenia Doubtfire, in order to spend time with his children and get around his ex-wife (Sally Field). The first film made $219 million at the domestic office, won two Golden Globes, and garnered an Oscar for Best Makeup.
