Paramount goes on Mean Streak
Paramount Pictures has purchased a spec from Shrek 2 writers J. David Stern and David N. Weiss. Based on an idea by Berg, the story centers around an elementary school teacher who is on a field trip with his students to Salem, Mass. on the very day that he's being dumped by his fiancée for being too nice. While in a gift shop, a witch happens to hear him wish he could be more mean - and curses him in such a way that he is required to retaliate. In the end, he might just find out
he's not quite so nice as he thought he was.
