Simpson gets some Room Service
Jessica Simpson is set to star in Room Service, an adaptation of a chick-lit novel by Beverly Brandt. Simpson's father, Joe Simpson, will produce the film along with Gale Ann Hurd, Randall Emmett and George Furla. The romantic comedy will center on a spoiled heiress who has been disinherited by her father. She has to abandon her socialite lifestyle and work at a hotel to pay off a tab that she has built up.
Naturally, she finds love along the way and finds that being rich isn't all it's cracked up to be.
The screenplay will be adapted by Janus Cercone.
